The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has finally made his statement on the death of Dowen college student, Sylvester Omoroni jr.

In a statement made out by his personal assistant on internet and publicity, Garba Shehu, the president gave his sincere sympathy to the deceased’s family.

also assured that the culprits of this crime will go unpunished. Buhari also asked the police to furthermore their investigations in order to get to the root of the case.

”For several days now, the nation has been gripped by the news of the tragic incident at Dowen College, in Lagos with morbid details constantly emerging of how our young son, Sylvester Oromoni (Junior) met his death.

President Muhammadu Buhari condemns the killing of Sylvester, one of our bright youngsters doing excellently in school, bringing joy to the family and if this incident is truly arising from bullying or cultism, the President assures that it must act as a trigger leading to a permanent solution to this recurring problem.

“I share the anger and grief up and down the country following this incident. On behalf of my family and I, and the government of the federation, I convey our heartfelt condolences to the Oromoni family, the government, and the people of Lagos State and give the firm assurance that this incident will be thoroughly investigated and the appropriate punishment meted out to all those who are culpable.”
 
The President urges the Police to continue the ongoing investigation until they get to the root of the matter in order for the law to take its course, assuring that justice will be done, no matter who is involved.”

Meanwhile recently; The candlelight procession for deceased Sylvester Oromoni jr. by Parents of Dowen College pupils caused mixed reactions throughout social media spaces.

Following the passing of the 12-year-old student of Dowen College who was bullied by other students, concerned parents gather in numbers to have a candlelight service for the late aspiring pilot.

These act, however, was met with backlashes as some social media users made it clear that that the parents are more worried about the school reopening rather than being serious with their intentions.

“They ain’t remorseful. Still insisting on false press release. Where is the management’s conscience??? The candle night means nothing. Any sane parent shd never allow their children go to that evil den!” a user wrote.

Meanwhile, yesterday Some Worried Nigerian women on Wednesday morning, December 8th, arrived Dowen college in Lagos, requesting for justice for the late Sylvester Oromoni.

It's worth recalling that Sylvester Oromoni, who died recently was a student of the school, died after he was reportedly molested and beaten by his schoolmates for refusing to join their cult.

Although investigations have commence and the Lagos State government has promised to bring the suspects to justice.

Yesterday, the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu made known that three students of Dowen College in Lagos are actually assisting the police in their investigation into the death of Sylvester Oromoni, Jr.

According to him, three of the five suspected students that Sylvester named before his death are currently in their custody and are cooperating with the police in their investigations.

Just this morning, worried women dressed in whole black staged a protest in front of the locked down premises of Dowen College, requesting for justice for the Sylvester jr.
